   That's not how I operate. I'm not going to sit here and let someone twist a real case into a fantasy where I'm the villain. If marjklein wants to actually understand what happened to Sherice and Jeremy, they should be looking at real evidence, not constructing a narrative that makes sense only if you ignore the facts. I've spent five years trying to find answers. I'm not going to waste energy on conspiracy theories.

   The thing is, he's using the exact same logic to dismiss any actual investigation. He talks about real evidence, about not ignoring the facts—those are the things we're trying to do. But his tone is always the opposite. Defensive. Protective. Like he's already convinced that answering questions means incriminating himself, no matter what the actual evidence shows. So he frames it as waste, as energy he shouldn't have to spend. That's not how someone looking for truth talks.

   Marcus never told anyone that he knew Sherice. Not once in all the months I was working the Sherice case with him. Nothing. I just found out about them through the investigation — through the work we were doing together. And now I have to ask: what does that mean? Why would you keep that silent? What else have you been holding back? Explain yourself.
